Prof Goran Strbac is a Chair in Electrical Energy Systems at Imperial College London, with extensive experience in advanced modelling and analysis of operation, planning, security and economics of multi-energy systems. He led the development of novel advanced analysis approaches and methodologies that have been extensively used to inform industry, governments and regulatory bodies about the role and value of emerging new technologies and systems in supporting cost effective evolution to smart low carbon energy future. He is currently Director of the joint Imperial-Tsinghua Research Centre on Intelligent Power and Energy Systems, Member of the UK Smart System Forum, Member of Ofgem Climate Resilience Expert panel, Member of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Smart Networks for the Energy Transition and Member of the Joint EU Programme in Energy Systems Integration of the European Energy Research Alliance. He co-authored 4 books and published over 500 technical papers.

Professor Hongwei Wu (FIMechE, FRAeS, FEI, FWSSET) is a full Professor of Thermofluids & Head of the Energy and Sustainable Manufacturing (ENSM) Research Group in the School of Physics, Engineering and Computer Science (SPECS), and he also leads the Research Group in Monitoring Climate and its Impact (MCI) at the University of Hertfordshire, UK. Professor Wu is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and has been elected Fellow of several prestigious professional bodies, including the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), the Royal Aeronautical Society (FRAeS), the Energy Institute (FEI), and the World Society of Sustainable Energy Technologies (FWSSET). Professor Wu is a Royal Academy of Engineering Academic Champion, a visiting professor at East Kazakhstan State Technical University, and a member of the UK Turbulence Consortium. Professor Wu received his BEng and PhD in Thermofluids from Beihang University, completing his PhD in 2004 through a Joint PhD Programme with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He has previously held academic and research positions at Northumbria University, University of the West of Scotland, Birmingham University and Brunel University London in the UK, as well as at the University of British Columbia & University of Alberta in Canada.

Pierluigi Siano (M’09–SM'14) received the M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information and electrical engineering from the University of Salerno, Salerno, Italy, in 2001 and 2006, respectively. He is a Full Professor of Electrical Power Systems and Scientific Director of the Smart Grids and Smart Cities Laboratory with the Department of Management & Innovation Systems, University of Salerno. His research activities are centered on demand response, energy management, the integration of distributed energy resources into smart grids, and electricity markets, and the planning and management of power systems. In these fields, he has co-authored 8 international books, more than 800 articles including over 500 articles in international journals, which have received more than 25900 citations on Scopus, achieving an H-index of 78. Since 2019, he has been awarded as a Highly Cited Researcher by the Web of Science Group. He has been the Chair of the IES TC on Smart Grids. He is an Editor for the Power & Energy Society Section of IEEE Access, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON POWER SYSTEMS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL INFORMATICS, IEEE TRANSACTIONS ON INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS, IEEE SYSTEMS.
